upxo.interfaces.defdap.importebsd module
Import EBSD maps via DefDAP into UPXO-friendly containers.
Primary class ebsd_data loads Oxford CTF (and related) maps
through DefDAP and ports grain IDs, average orientations, and properties
for representativeness and twinning workflows.
- class upxo.interfaces.defdap.importebsd.ebsd_data(ebsdmapdata_raw)[source]
Bases:
objectDefDAP EBSD map wrapper with UPXO-side grain/orientation fields.
Construct with a raw DefDAP map or via
load_ctf(). After porting, exposes labelled grains, average Euler/quaternion orientations, properties, and optional GB junction points.- map_raw
Original DefDAP map object.
- map, gid, n
UPXO-side map / grain IDs / grain count when ported.
- ea_avg, quat_avg
Per-grain average orientations.
- prop
Morphological or EBSD property table when computed.
- map_raw
- gbjp
- val
- classmethod load_ctf(fileName=None)[source]
Example
from upxo.ggrowth.mcgs import mcgs pxt = mcgs() pxt.simulate() pxt.detect_grains() tslice = 20 # Temporal slice number pxt.char_morph_2d(tslice) export_folder = ‘src/upxo/_written_data/_ctf_export_2dmcgs’ pxt.gs[tslice].export_ctf(export_folder, ‘sample_export’)
from upxo.interfaces.defdap.importebsd import ebsd_data fileName = export_folder + ‘/sample_export’ ebsd_data.load_ctf(fileName)
